A Dunny Thing Happened... by JessiBeans A Dunny Thing Happened... by JessiBeans
More Dunnies! I have a fairly substantial Dunny collection (hint hint, my b-day is coming up, and I don't have any Series 2 or the sweet ass geisha one ;) ) These were 4 more shots taken the same day as [link]

Digital Photo by me (Image © 2007)
Dunnies are by kidrobot ---> www.kidrobot.com

When I saw the title I thought it would be something toilet-related O_O
(Dunny is slang for 'toilet' in Oz)

you should get blank ones and paint your own!

I want to, I do... I just worry I'd ruin it... I have a bad history with all things sculptural. All my pottery blows up. And we won't get into the other projects.
:lmao:

well get a blank one or a cheap used one, paint it over with primer, then sketch out first and then paint right on it! no need for a kiln!

Those things are so cute!!! But I must admit....I have never heard of them before! Are they part of a game or do you just collect them?

Just collect them... and photograph them in compromising positions or epic battle scenes. :D
They're all designed by AMAZING artists, so they're sort of art collectibles.

You know what would be cool? Putting them in fighting postions nd then taking the pictures into Photoshop and making it look like there really is an epic battle going on! :D

O.o Ok! I was looking at the website and I was like, "What the hell happened to the Dunny's?!?!" And the I saw something kinda dunny-ish and I was going to ask my mom if I could by it. :D

They are very cute. I don't know what I'm going to do with the ones they you diy. I'd probably doodle on it with a sharpy. :D

I couldn't find these in the store on the site you provided. :[

Anyway, these are real nice. The angles you have are stunning, in the top two. I can't say much about the bottom two angles, but the pictures are great either way.

If I may make a suggestion:
When you want to make the object look threatening, bring the camera to it's feet and look up, this way the object looks huge. This gives the feel that it's a first person view, and the object is actually standing over you.

When you want the object to look puny and cute, then do the opposite of above. Take a high angle, but not bird's-eye, because that'll just look weird. :]

I hope I helped. (I like to do a ';praise and polish' type of thing). This makes me want to try these things in the sculpturing independant study I'll be doing next year in art. Perhaps I'll send you a picture, if I actually do make some of those sculptures.

Anyway, great work! I love the first picture, and the Dunny in it. Are they plastic or vinyl?

Yeah, they're not in, all of these ones are sold out, but you can find some on eBay, an they had the limited edition Geisha and Samurai in recently. They are vinyl toys, either 3" or 8 " tall, they come out with new ones from time to time, the newsletter will tell you when. Here is a page of all the dunnies ever made, if that helps: [link]

Thanks!
:D
